
Most of the time, I can sense the divine flow in my life quite easily. I notice a steady stream of signs and synchronicities — as well as intuitive nudges — that are all pointing me in one particular direction. And when I head in that direction, I feel like I am in a quickly moving current that is helping me get where I want to go with effortless ease.
Often, I experience unexpected twists and turns along the way. But those surprising detours will quickly transform into stepping stones to a higher good, so I can easily see the divine flow at work in those circumstances, as well.

This morning I went from reading about the dark history of America's Thanksgiving, to seeing beautiful Thanksgiving sentiments on an e-card that my brother sent me. The contrast between the two meanings of the holiday was striking.
There are several versions of the origins of Thanksgiving in America, including celebrating the small pox decimation of the Wampanoag Indians who were described as barbarians, or holding a victory celebration of the Pequot massacre in 1637, or to Pilgrims and the Wampanoag sharing their harvest together in 1621.

After my father passed away last week, my brother naturally wondered what heaven is like. After reflecting on his inquiry, I felt the only true response could come from those who have directly experienced what we call "heaven." I pointed him to Near-Death.com, a site that includes many descriptions of experiences from those who have purportedly crossed over to the other side and returned to tell about it.

It's no 'Secret' that books on how to create more abundance are selling like never before. Oprah has even stepped her foot into the ring with her promotion of "The Secret" and catapulted it to the tops of bestseller lists.
Many people feel so desperately driven to survive in today's Western culture — a culture that promotes a consumer-driven lifestyle and demands a high price tag for all of life's necessities (and extravagant expenditures). Along with this lifestyle come feelings of anxiety, powerlessness, and lack of security. Consequently there is a great urge to find an easy way out, even turning to the mystical powers of the Universe to bring balance and create an easier life in the midst of chaos. With each generation evolving spiritually beyond previous generations, we now find ourselves more open to new, exciting ways of thinking about latent creative powers we may hold inside us and exploring expanded human potential.
