Finding & Marketing Your Niche Within the Divine Plan Part 2

You might have read my last article, "Finding & Marketing Your Niche Within the Divine Plan," and said, "So what? I'm already doing all that…I'm already following my passion and I'm still not getting anywhere."

You're still not living the promised life of less struggle, more prosperity, and more satisfaction. So what gives? If you believe you're already doing what you're supposed to be doing, then what else is it going to take? …Or are you really following the path of "right livelihood"?

I know some people who say they are "following their passion in life," adamantly stating they don't want to do anything else. But yet they continue to struggle, year after year. One friend of mine has been barely surviving for nine years now, deeply in debt, but never deviating from what he thinks is his path in life. Read the rest of this entry »

The Divine Flow — Hawaiian Style

Aloha, Friends!

As you might have gathered from my greeting, Carol and I just returned from Hawaii, where I spoke at the Unity Church on Maui.

Similar to the time we visited the island of Oahu in 2005, I was once again immensely impressed by the easygoing nature of the native Hawaiians. Living life in the divine flow seems to come quite naturally for most of them.

This is in direct contrast to a man I met who moved to Hawaii a number of years ago. He told me about his first five years on the island—a time in which he tried to accomplish his goals by using the same technique he employed on the mainland . . . by bulldozing over everyone and everything standing in his way!  Suffice it to say that the native Hawaiians weren't very impressed with this man's forceful, controlling, and manipulative ways.

Finally, one young native Hawaiian came up this man and said,  "Hey bro' . . . mo' bettah go easy."

At that moment, this man learned what I, too, have been learning over the years: Even though it is sometimes possible to force things to go the way you want them to, it is much better to take it easy.

You will find that when you attune yourself to the flow, and become willing to constantly adjust to the course of the current, things have a way of working out that is not only better for you, but better for all involved . . . and effortlessly, at that!

As the song my book is based on suggests, you should always "row, row, row your boat gently down the stream."  The reason why is simple: "Mo' bettah go easy!"

Finding & Marketing Your Niche Within the Divine Plan

27 February 2010 by Linda Sue Anderson HolisticFuture.com

Understanding what is required to holistically thrive in today's rapidly evolving world is vital to the millions of people who are now struggling to make ends meet in our weakened economic environment.

As the U.S. economy barely holds onto a lifeline to stay afloat, and vested businesses and government officials attempt to reclaim the U.S.'s once-admired economic stronghold in the world, in the meantime we are seeing an increasing number of 'victims' of the recession take the entrepreneurial route to find financial stability and, for some, hopefully find a niche and consequential prosperity.

Some of the entrepreneurial paths include direct sales and variations of direct-sales careers, including multi-level marketing and franchises. Many of these new entrepreneurs have become independent contractors (or more specifically, "independent consultants"  or "independent sales representatives"), selling other companies' merchandise or services. Spammers are an egregious example of direct selling. Others simply make money by telling you how to make money.

While for some, this movement away from being just a cog in the corporate machine or having an opportunity to climb out of the trenches of unemployment brings a new level of independence and steady income, but for others it can be a constant struggle to get "noticed" and to promote their products or services amid all the thousands of other competing marketers. Obstacles & The Flow, Part 2

7 February 2010 by Steven Lane Taylor RowRowRow.com

road closed sign on street
Last week I wrote about dealing with the kind of obstacles that seem to come out of the blue—the kind that occasionally pop up when you feel like you have been totally "in the flow" for quite some time.

But what if the obstacles you run into are not occasional? What if you continue to encounter multiple obstacles, one after another after another?  What if you are continually inhibited in reaching a particular goal in life because you are constantly running into uncooperative and resistant people—people whose assistance you need?

What then? Does that mean that you are supposed to give up on your dream, because—obviously—it just isn't being divinely supported?

Like last week, there is no single, definitive answer to that question.  But here are a few things I do recommend that you "give up on." Read the rest of this entry »

Trust and the Divine Flow

10 January 2010 by Steven Lane Taylor RowRowRow.com

sign on side of building that says trust
As a person whose livelihood depends primarily on the written word, I have become fond of word plays, including acronyms . . . that is, words formed from the initial letters of other words. For example:

ROW = Relying on Wisdom

EGO = Edging God Out

FEAR = False Evidence Appearing Real

HOPE = Holding Onto Positive Expectations

Like many people, at the beginning of this year I was looking for a personal theme for 2010—something in particular I wanted to focus on for the next 12 months. Well, I found it when I visited a new church recently, and the minister mentioned this acronym:

TRUST = Totally Relying Upon Spirit's Timing Read the rest of this entry »

The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create It

3 January 2010 by Linda Sue Anderson HolisticFuture.com

"The best way to predict the future is to create it." Depending on which website you visit, this quote is attributed to either Abraham Lincoln, Peter Drucker, or Alan Kay. No matter the source, those wise words are important in understanding the innate power you have to influence personal events — and the world in which you live — instead of being a victim to circumstances.

That's not to say that the future cannot and should not be predicted, for without having an inkling of where we are headed, how would we ever know we need to shift to the course that will lead us to fulfilling the roles we came here to serve?

In this article I suggest the best ways to become aware of probable futures (and it doesn't even require hiring a psychic in order to become aware of what you're creating) and the most powerful ways to then draw to yourself the desired probable realities.

Be Your Own Psychic

There are two very effective techniques anyone can use to access their own inner wisdom to understand where they headed and how they can guide themselves toward their life's purpose: Read the rest of this entry »

Chaos and Order: Exploring Cosmic Geometry

2 January 2010 by Ramón Stevens AlexanderMaterial.com

The Flower of Life symbol can be found in most major religions of the world. It is believed by some to be the more important and sacred pattern in the universe. It is depicted on the surfaces of ancient Egyptian, Phoenician, Assyrian, Indian, Asian, Middle Eastern, and medieval structures.
The universe is eternal and without beginning or end, in the sense that it was not "born" and will not "die"; these are anthropomorphic projections of your own mortality. Since ultimately all time is simultaneous, the universe has "always" existed as a venue of activity for bodies of consciousness seeking to explore matter-based existence. Like any physical structure, the universe must be organized into coherent, stable, self-sustaining patterns which endure through time, while allowing sufficient flexibility so as to weather the likely events and fluctuations inherent in the system. Thus, the placement of celestial bodies is not random, but follows patterns and principles ensuring the system's stability and endurance.

The Cosmic Web

There are two basic types of celestial body: energy-absorbing and energy-releasing. We might call the former "sponges" and the latter "generators." All solid objects are sponges: planets, moons, asteroids, human beings, etc. They absorb energy from the cosmos in far greater proportion than they release it; they transmute cosmic and solar radiation into the building blocks of solid matter. Stuck in the Past

13 December 2009 by Linda Sue Anderson HolisticFuture.com

old door covered with ivy
Some of the cable channels are counting down Christmas every day with holiday movies. How do I know this? Because they're on my mother's television screen every day, all day, and it doesn't matter if she's already seen them. She enjoys these programs since they represent the more meaningful times she experienced as a young mother when her children still lived at home and we had the typical happy Christmas celebrations.

Now that my father is gone my elderly mother rarely lives in the moment. Though I wish for and encourage her to live a more vibrant life, this is how she is consciously choosing happiness. And according to her, all the good that she has to look forward to has already happened in the past.

To relive certain memories is a normal process of aging, especially for those who have lost their lifelong companions. But if you find your present and future life meaningless, foreboding, or uncertain, it might be helpful to consider that your everyday patterns which are stuck in the past — thoughts, behaviors, conversations — are keeping you from experiencing joy in the moment and creating a more purposeful and conscious future. Freedom and the Flow Part 3

20 July 2009 by Steven Lane Taylor RowRowRow.com

statue of liberty
This week's message concludes a three-part series on the relationship between freedom and the divine flow.

Two weeks ago I wrote about the freedom that you have as a child of the divine to choose what you want to have, do, or be in life . . . and the freedom that you have to pursue those goals in any way that you see fit.

Last week I wrote about the freedom you experience when you let go of your attachment to a specific outcome, and when you realize that your happiness does not rely on reaching any destination at all.

This week I want to remind you that you are still not truly free as long as you are subject to the tyrannical rule of ego— Read the rest of this entry »

Freedom and the Flow Part 2

12 July 2009 by Steven Lane Taylor RowRowRow.com

statue of liberty
Last week I wrote about the freedom you have as a child of the divine to choose what you want to have in life, to choose what you want to do in life, and to choose what you want to be in life. And I wrote about the freedom you have to pursue those goals in any way that you see fit.

This week I want to expand on that message. I want to point out that you are never truly free as long as you remain overly attached to one specific outcome. Nor are you truly free if you believe that you must achieve that outcome in order to be happy.

Always keep in mind that no matter what it is you "think" you want, the divine flow may be guiding you to something even better—something that may be greater and grander than you anything you ever imagined possible, and something that will always fulfill your desire in a truly deep, lasting, and meaningful way. True freedom comes from letting go and allowing the divine flow to lead you to that destination—to a destination that may be quite different from the one you planned on or expected.
