A spiritual exploration of our changing times and holistic future

Power of the Mind Experiments

13 February 2008 by Linda Anderson Holisticfuture.com

Do we possess the collective mental power to change our physical world? Lynne McTaggart believes so, and she's been instrumental in leading large groups of people to help conduct scientifically-controlled experiments and provide results that clearly indicate the power large groups of people have in affecting outcomes with their intentions.

Several experiments using both in-person and Internet groups have been conducted with successful results, which include sending thoughts to increase the growth rate of barley seeds, and increasing the biophoton emissions--or living light--of plants and human beings.

Ms. McTaggart notes that it is the degree of mental focus that is important, and not necessarily the number of individuals involved with the intention, and therefore experienced meditators or healers tend to have more effective results.

The scientists involved with conducting the experiments include leading physicists and psychologists from the University of Arizona, Princeton University, the International Institute of Biophysics, Cambridge University and the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

More experiments are planned with focuses on: lowering the temperature of an ecosphere; changing the pH of polluted water; lowering the crime rate of a major city; lowering mortality at a hospital; and positively affecting children who suffer from ADD.
